MiHoYo has announced the upcoming release of the Genshin Impact PS5 native version. Currently available on PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility, the new release is specifically aimed at Sony's next-generation console, featuring enhanced visuals and superior game performance.
Genshin Impact PS5 native release date wasn't disclosed, but miHoYo says that it will arrive soon. This new version will remain free-to-play and PlayStation 4 players are able to keep their adventure progress when moving to PlayStation 5.
The Genshin Impact PlayStation 5 version runs on 4K resolution and comes with enhanced textures to make Teyvat even more lively and vibrant. Faster loading times will allow players to travel the game world in a much more seamless way.
“The PlayStation 5 is an ideal platform to enhance the vast open world featuring in Genshin Impact, allowing the team to incorporate more thoughts and ideas into the game, both now and in the future,” said Forrest Liu, President of miHoYo. “That's why we've been working to bring the native PlayStation 5 version of the game to our players as soon as we could.”
Genshin Impact released on September 28, 2020 for PC, Android, iOS, and PS4. There are no updates on the progress of the Nintendo Switch version.
