It seems like it was yesterday that we received the latest Genshin Impact 1.6 update. Today miHoYo has announced the next content expansion, and a very special one at that. It's such a special release that instead of following the traditional path and calling it update 1.7, it is going to skip straight to the 2.0 moniker. Why? Because it brings the much anticipated Inazuma city, the third major city coming to Genshin Impact, after Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor. But that's just the tip of the iceberg for the Genshin Impact 2.0 Inazuma update, The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia – yes, they're keeping with the somewhat cryptic names, and as always, being great at it.
The Inazuma update – because it's bound to be known by the community precisely like that – will release on July 21, 2021. Another important introduction is cross-save function across PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC, Android, and iOS, something that was in high demand. Oh, and Nintendo Switch… nah, we're kidding, that version is still a big and long-running mystery.

Inazuma is a vast region that is made up of six main islands, often gently rocked by the strong sea breeze and thunderstorms. The Electro element pervades the city, and the yet mysterious Electro Archon has turned to the pursuit of eternity.
Three new playable characters are coming in update 2.0. Kamisato Ayaka, a five-star Cryo sword user, and probably one of the characters that were sitting in the back-burner for longest. She is the daughter of the Yashiro Commission’s Kamisato Clan, is often conceived as dignified, elegant, wise, and strong by the locals.
Yoimiya is another five-star character, a Pyro archer and an expert in fireworks, so she will surely give Amber a run for her money. Known as the “Queen of the Summer Festival,” Yoimiya excels in her craft of creating fireworks that symbolize people's hopes and dreams.
Finally, Sayu is a cute and small four-star ninja that wields a big claymore and swears by the Anemo element. She will fit perfectly in your loli team, right next to Klee, Diona, and Qiqi, for example.
The Genshin Impact 2.0 Inazuma update brings a host of other features. New bosses such as the Pyro Hypostasis and the Perpetual Mechanical Array, and there's the welcome return of the Theater Mechanicus tower defense game, revised and improved with new content.
