With the PlanetSide 2 release approaching, Sony Online Entertainment’s boss John Smedley announced on Twitter that the first PlanetSide is going to stay online and also going free-to-play fairly soon.
While it’s very likely that a lot of players move from PlanetSide 1 to PlanetSide 2, it’s a nice idea to make the first game free-to-play, ensuring that loyal fans will have a choice on which MMOFPS they prefer.
