And here’s another victim of the ruthless free-to-play market – Family Guy Online. The browser-based MMORPG is going straight from open beta to shut down and not even the antics of Peter Griffin, Stewie or Brian could save this from disaster.
Whatever the reason revealed for this decision (no explanation was given so far), it has certainly to do with not enough players and/or profit. Perhaps even with the fact that the show is far past its prime and is dragging for quite a while. So if you want to see the game you have until January 18th, 2013 and then it’s no more.
