If your dream game would be a mix of Second Life and Theme Park (the classic from Bullfrog) then you should take a look at Atom Universe, the upcoming free-to-play theme park simulator. Planned for PC and PS4 and having just entered early access on Steam, Atom Universe is trying to be the kind of time sink that is easy to enjoy in your spare time.
The social aspect is highlighted in Atom Universe, with player interactions (dancing, posing, displaying emotions, and even piggyback riding) and environment interaction such as sitting on benches, leaning on walls or lying in a bed. The early access version is pre-alpha and will include “the main hub, a place to meet up and socialize in the center of the theme park, the Crowbots discotheque, one private space plus 1 ride: the Shooting Gallery.” The final version should include more content such as the Minikart racer and the Motor Stunts.
