Paladins: Champions of the Realm: first official gameplay trailer

Hi-Rez Studios, makers of SMITE, have released the first official gameplay trailer for Paladins: Champions of the Realm, the upcoming free-to-play team-based FPS. The trailer shows some bits of gameplay as well as a few Hi-Rez staff talking about the game's mechanics and design.

Paladins is a competitive shooter with peculiar characters and looks like a mix between SMITE and the upcoming Overwatch game from Blizzard. Players will be able to enhance a character’s core set of abilities by collecting and using cards.

Paladins: Champions of the Realm is in development for PC and current-generation consoles (we assume this means Xbox One and PS4) and will enter Early Access later this year. You can sign up for the closed beta at www.paladinsgame.com.
