The post-apocalyptic MMORPG The Skies is going to enter open Steam launch on April 16, developer Eforb has announced. The game will be available for everyone to download and play for free but there's also a limited time launch offer with the Lifetime Premium Package until May 16, 2016 – for a one-time payment of $14.99, you get this package, otherwise it will be $9.99 per month.
The Skies features a non-linear storyline (based on the graphic novel by Game Designer Anton Paramonov) that is influenced by how you choose to develop your character and also includes shooter elements, in a vast open world. There's also PvP, Clan Wars and Team vs Team Combat with fighting over territories.
We gave this game a try and while it still has a long way to go, there's clearly visible progress since we tried it a few months ago – here's our The Skies first look gameplay video.
