A short but sweet announcement from Phoenix Entertainment at PAX South revealed the plans for the Monster Hunter-like co-op game Dauntless: the open beta is scheduled for the fall. This means that there are still quite some months ahead of you, but don't despair, as “opportunities to play earlier” are yet to be announced.
What this means is that Dauntless will have one (or more) closed betas before, as usual for this kind of game, and while we're just guessing here, this could happen by the summer. Stay tuned for more news in the coming weeks.
The Dauntless team is currently showing the game at PAX South, and it's the first time that Dauntless is available to the public with a demo featuring two behemoths, Shrike and Pangar. We have some of that Dauntless PAX South gameplay here.
