Path of Exile ditches action RPG to become Path of Exile Royale

In a shocking turn of events, and apparently based on community feedback that I was unaware of, Grinding Gear Games has decided to drop the Action RPG mode for Path of Exile and focus exclusively on what the players want. And obviously, they want to see more Battle Royale, as that is the new winning trend. And so, Path of Exile: Royale is born and live right now – you can run the Path of Exile game client for the necessary updates.

Path of Exile: Royale is a game where 100 players will battle in a free-for-all battle royale game. As usual with this type of game, the play area will shrink periodically and you have to stay within the red circle or die. You can see this briefly in the trailer below. The winner of each match will earn a Rhoa Dinner to display in their hideout.
