NCsoft has revealed their plans of upgrading the engine of the fantasy MMORPG Blade & Soul. Currently running on Unreal Engine 3, the studio is working on upgrading it to Unreal Engine 4.
The Vision Preview trailer shows this and offers a few engine comparisons and footage, but as MMOCulture says, there is no release date for this upgrade yet. This is a daunting task and it could be a couple of years before it finally makes it into the public version of Blade & Soul, starting with Korea as usual.
On a related note, NCsoft is working on more content for Blade & Soul, including fishing and gathering, and with a focus on a more social experience.
