Quake Champions is free-to-play on Steam and Bethesda.net starting today

Bethesda has announced today during the QuakeCon 2018 that Quake Champions is now available for all players completely free and you can play right now on Bethesda.net and Steam.

Previously to this decision, Quake Champions was announced as a game where free players would be limited to the Ranger champion. Now, with the doors wide open, you get the Ranger and the Scalebearer, along with the option to unlock more Champions when you complete the in-game tutorial and by earning Favor, which is the in-game currency used to unlock Champions and Backpacks. There is a free Champion on rotation every week, and players also get access to all Quickplay, Ranked and Arcade game modes and maps currently available.

In case you want all current and future Champions, you can purchase the Founder's Pack, which is on sale until September 4, 2018.
