One of the most played games in the entire universe – hey, we're probably not exaggerating – is now free, but not that free. Valve's Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the top 3 games on Steam, right after Dota 2 and PUBG and has just received a free-to-play spin-off. The catch, you ask? It's only for offline play against bots and spectating matches through GOTV.
So, you won't be able to participate in the exciting multiplayer matches, unless you purchase the full game, but this still ranks as a good move in my humble opinion – more players will be able to try Counter-Strike: Global Offensive before deciding on a purchase, and this is a great way to practice and learning the basics before moving on to the real deal.
