Yoozoo Games has just revealed the first image from the battlefield of its upcoming Game of Thrones title. Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming is the real-time strategy game in the making for PC and is scheduled for early 2019.
A quick look at the screenshot below should be enough to give you the right idea. As a Westeros lord, you will recruit familiar faces from the acclaimed TV show and engage in fierce battles, one click at a time. I'm honestly hoping that there's more to this combat system than automated battle, and that you can actually outline strategies and use your soldiers in clever, tactical ways. Even with a lot of squinting, I can't really say that I recognize any of the leaders below – it looks like there's a Sansa, maybe a Jon Snow as well, but there's a baffling lack of dragons to it.
In a few months we should be playing Game of Thrones: Winter is Coming, and hopefully feeling happy about it. As in, not disappointed.
