Ember Sword is a free-to-play sandbox MMORPG that is slowly building some momentum. Developer So Couch Studios is promising a lot, but so far we haven't seen much of it to back those claims, to be honest.
One of the most interesting aspects of Ember Sword is the blockchain-based design, promising true player ownership of the cosmetics. When registering for a game account, each player creates a blockchain wallet where items are stored as tokens. This means that you are free to trade, sell or offer your cosmetics to anyone through the safe in-game marketplace or even outside of the game.
But Ember Sword should have a lot more than that, including classless combat, the ability to design models, skins and emotes, PvE and PvP and a world that is constantly changing and evolving.
You can play Ember Sword in your browser or via client. 2019 should bring a lot more about this sandbox MMORPG, with public crowdfunding taking place in Q2 2019. We would hang in there for a while until something more reliable is shown, something that So Couch Studios promised is coming soon.
