One of the few true announcements from Ubisoft's E3 2019 Press Conference was Roller Champions. This is a free-to-play PvP sports game clearly inspired by the 2002 movie Rollerball, directed by John McTiernan. Despite being trashed by critics and viewers alike, it has earned some sort of cult classic status due to its futuristic sports scenes.
Ubisoft's Roller Champions is a 3v3 game where you start as an underdog and create your own story. You grab the ball, skate on walls and score goals by throwing the ball through the hoop, gaining fans with your daring moves. You can unlock new gear to customize your athlete and even customize your fans with different outfits and animations.
Roller Champions is now playable until June 14 thanks to a demo that was released along with the game announcement. You can download it via uPlay and play in two arenas, Acapulco and Mexico.
The official release is planned for early 2020 on PC.
