Side-scrolling anime shooter Azur Lane is getting new cute shipgirls

The free-to-play side-scrolling shoot'em up game Azur Lane is about to get a few additional shipgirls for its Japanese servers. Publisher Yostar revealed the new character designs on the game's official Twitter account.

Judging by the dates on the artwork below, these characters have been designed for a year or two already, but will only make it into Azur Lane soon. There's nothing unusual about it, since the artists usually have to create several character pitches to provide content for the long run.

Azur Lane is extremely popular in Japan and an English language version released recently, in May 2019. The official site is here in case you like this sort of moe anthropomorphic girls based on warships – Kantai Collection, or KanColle, was another game based on the same theme.
