Somewhat unexpectedly, Nexon just announced that Magia: Charma Saga is going to shut down on July 30, 2019. Magia: Charma Saga is a stunning 2D side-scrolling action RPG that we've quite enjoyed, so this news comes as a bit of a shock.
There is no justification whatsoever for this decision, but considering that the game seemed polished and played pretty well, I'm assuming that it's tied to a low player base. Or a failed monetization system, perhaps.
Oddly enough, the closure announcement mentions that Magia: Charma Saga “will soon be back.” That's strange, considering that it feels like a farewell and then you're surprised by this promise of a return. Rewards will be given to those who have previously played Magia: Charma Saga.
Let's hope that Superacid doesn't pull a HeroWarz on us, right?
