The Private Beta for the XCOM-like RAM Pressure has started, developer GDT has announced. The beta was initially planned for June but it was decided that a delay would benefit the game.
Keys are naturally being sent in limited numbers, with more invitations going out gradually. Players who have purchased the Early Access Ram Pressure packs obviously are the priority.
The Private Beta will run from an undetermined period of time. It could last one week or several weeks. A second wave of beta may come right after, or RAM Pressure may immediately jump to the Early Access phase, according to the feedback that the developers get and their own judgment about the state of the game.
RAM Pressure isn't at the stage that the devs want it to be, since new content is still being added to the game. This includes sidequests, additional animations, character models, optimization, bug squashing and more. Not all classes are playable during the Private Beta. Some operatives were disabled and only a few of the storyline missions are available.
GDT promises to release a series of tutorial videos detailing how to level up character, weapons, skills and more. However, right now the priority is to have the XCOM-like RAM Pressure at a solid enough state that it can enter Early Access.
