Pearl Abyss has revealed the first DokeV gameplay via a short trailer. Well, calling it short is an understatement, because this footage is only seven seconds long. Still, it looks nothing short of amazing, but don't blink or you may miss it.
The DokeV gameplay footage below shows a nighttime scene with rain pouring down, in a decidedly very colorful environment. A few characters hang around, tending to their business, as a red car zips by. Despite the visible peace and quiet, this serene scene still conveys the idea that DokeV's cities will be brimming with life.
As for the technical side of things, Pearl Abyss' new proprietary engine looks fabulous. The reflections and weather effects are amazing and perfectly marry with the cartoon art style. It's an accomplished mix of family friendly and realism, and I can see DokeV easily having a broad appeal, with kids and parents playing it together.
Of course, it's worth noting that the creature collecting aspect of DokeV is yet to be shown, as this brief trailer only shows human characters. As the first official trailer revealed, you see the Dokebi creatures when you wear the large magical glasses that the kid with the blue umbrella has.
Watch the clip below and let's wait for a more revealing DokeV gameplay trailer, preferably one where you see the playable character exploring the city and the Dokebi battling.
