Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat gameplay footage shows Dante and Nero

Devil May Cry is one more series that is taking a detour to mobile devices. We've talked about it earlier this year but now we have the first Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat gameplay footage, featuring Dante and Nero. You'll notice right at the start of the trailer that they look both a lot more emo than before, if that is in any way possible.

Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat is a China exclusive developed by Yunchang Game, but according to MMOCulture, Capcom is closely supervising the project. This game seems to mix the level design from various Devil May Cry games, while the story focuses on Dante and Nero's origins and their birth from a demon father and a human mother.

As for the gameplay, Devil May Cry: Pinnacle of Combat tries to mirror the frantic action of the main series while making controls suited for mobile devices. The levels will be instanced, an unsurprising choice given the game genre and the need to keep things moving at a fast pace, with many visual effects onscreen.

The release is planned for 2020 and it's highly unlikely that Capcom wants to bring it to the west.
