Phantasy Star Online 2 beta sign-ups open, PC version delayed

The Phantasy Star Online 2 beta sign-ups have just opened for Xbox One. Sega and Microsoft are finally taking this anime MMORPG to North America  in Spring 2020, which means that the closed beta is going to begin soon.

However, we have some bad news for English players hoping to get their hands on Sega's popular but eternally delayed MMO. Contrary to the initial announcement, the PC version isn't releasing simultaneously with the Xbox One version. The official Phantasy Star Online 2 site is now sporting a small disclosure that says the following: “Windows 10 version scheduled to launch later in 2020.” Sure, guys, we have only been waiting for six or seven years, we can wait a few more months, isn't that right? Oh well…

In case you own an Xbox One and don't care about PC, you can and should sign up for the closed beta test. You need to sign up to the Xbox Insider Program to secure your place in the test, and there are some rewards expecting you as well. Another good news is that your progress won't be wiped, so you can start leveling up your character as soon as the closed beta begins.
