Genshin Impact released today for PC, PS4, Android, and iOS

The highly anticipated open world anime RPG Genshin Impact released today for PC, PlayStation 4, Android, and iOS. After several years of hard work from more than 400 staff, miHoYo has launched its new game. Learning from the lessons of the successful action RPG Honkai Impact 3rd, the Chinese studio has unleashed a whimsical adventure set in the wonderful and expansive world of Teyvat.

In Genshin Impact, you play as the Traveler, but in your adventure you’ll come across dozens of characters. Some of them will join you, while others can be acquired via the wish system, which is the gacha in this game. Each character is based in one of seven elements, corresponding to one of seven main cities, although only two cities are available at launch: Mondstadt and Liyue Harbor.

The elemental combat system allows for countless combinations, as you explore the abilities of your party. You can have four characters in your team and switch between them freely, using this to your advantage. The world also includes puzzles that require thinking and using the elements in order to progress or unlock hidden treasures.
