No, there's no mistake in the headline. The latest Warhammer Odyssey cinematic trailer features some pretty interesting short CGI animations, showcasing the classes that you'll be able to control in the upcoming Android and iOS MMORPG. But when you reach the latter half of the footage, you'll notice some very brief gameplay shots. Blink and you'll miss it.
Apart from the two tour videos featuring the human Witch Hunter and the dwarf Slayer, this is our first glimpse into the actual Warhammer Odyssey gameplay. It is also the first time that we get to see any of the classes in battle, despite the brevity of the exchanges.
The Warhammer Odyssey classes include the High Elf Archmage, Dwarf Engineer, Human Warrior Priest, High Elf Shadow Warrior, Dwarf Slayer, and Human Witch Hunter. One of the highlights of the MMO developed by Virtual Realms is that it won't include any sort of auto-combat option, and the team is saying that gameplay is going to be more akin to what you expect to see on a PC MMORPG.
You can watch the Warhammer Odyssey cinematic trailer below. There's no Warhammer Odyssey release date yet, but the open beta is coming soon, possibly still during 2020.
