All travelers get ready, because miHoYo has spilled the beans on the Genshin Impact 1.4 update release date and all the juicy details. The update is called Invitation of Windblume, the launch is planned for March 17, 2021, and it is based around the Windblume Festival. While there's no Inazuma region in sight, despite everyone's desires, there's a lot to see and do in the 1.4 update, so let's check it out.

We'll start with the new character banner that is coming with this update. “Thorny Benevolence” Rosaria, the hottest nun in the universe, will finally be available as a playable character. She made her memorable introduction during the Dragonspine story quest and marked the minds of many players. A cryo elemental follower and polearm user, she is a 4-star character with an interesting rear attack maneuver and AoE cryo damage abilities.

The Windblume Festival features a series of mini-games and challenges that will test your skills. Some of them will make you go Fall Guys while having a lot of fun and earning rewards at the same time, including some exclusive in-game items.

The Hangout Events are new story quests with branching endings, featuring four characters for now with more of our favorites coming later. You can spend quality time with Barbara, Noelle, Bennett, and Chongyun, but you must be careful with your choices, because the story can end abruptly. Do not fear though, because you can retry the stories as many times as you wish.

Dainsleif will return as the main storyline continues and you get to learn more about the Traveler's long-lost sibling. You will have to face Abyss Herald to discover the details and find out about the creation of the world's first Ruin Guard at Stormterror's Lair.

Other quality of life improvements include the increase of the Condensed Resin limit to five at a time, and the ability to lower your World Level both in single-player and co-op mode.
