Defiance 2050 is a futuristic open-world MMO shooter where thousands of players fight in a transformed Earth competing for the always exciting alien technology. The game ties in with the SyFy show of the same name and while it has its flaws, it is definitely a fun shooter. Defiance turned free-to-play in June 2014 on PC and a few weeks later on Xbox 360 and PS3.

Choose to hunt alone or with other players as you improve your shooting skills and clime experience levels, unlocking powerful weaponry along the way that will help you survive the massive battles that await. With the character creation you'll be able to play as human or alien, changing your appearance in a way that you can become a truly unique fighter. Use the multitude of weapons, armor and abilities available and watch them evolve as you improve your skills. The environment is in constant change thanks to the regular updates and dynamic events that keep the gigantic game world fresh and connected to the Defiance TV series. You can go solo or join tens of thousands of other players in the futuristic San Francisco Bay Area that serves as the open world battlefield of the game.
