DotA 2 is the sequel to the revolutionary Defense of The Ancients, mod created with Warcraft III. Valve took the development duties – and even entered a dispute with Blizzard for the name rights – and with the help of the original developer (IceFrog), created a free-to-play MOBA game that should finally give some real competition to the acclaimed League of Legends.
