Just as it happens with every great MMORPG, a robust character customization system is crucial. Sadly, that isn't always the case, with many games locking you out of starting character customization options and restricting you to unlockable outfits. Level-5 and Netmarble's Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds is a game that is making some waves and while it is exclusive to Android and iOS devices, its magical world deserves some customization options. So, is there any Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds character creation system in sight or are we locked out of customizing our class? Let's settle this question once and for all.

Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds Character Creation System

The answer to that question is yes, there is a Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds character creation system. The downside is that the five starting classes are gender-locked, so you won't be able to pick a female Destroyer, for example.

After selecting your class, you may choose from a small offering of different hairstyles and colors. It's great that you have the option to change the character's height and weight, along with skin tone. Face tattoos are par for the course as well, if you like that sort of feature, so you can go all fearless for the Destroyer, or add cute cat whiskers for the Witch.

Based on the Japan closed beta, you can pick from three distinct outfits, but this may change in the future – perhaps the amount increases, or it ends up restricting players to a single starting outfit, we'll see. You can customize a few parts of your costume with the colors of your liking, adding a little touch of variety to the community.

While it would be terrific to see some additional facial customization options, the Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds character creator is a decent effort that has the merit of adding some spice to the classes. At least we're not going to see everyone being of the same height and weight.
