Ninjala is the new game from GungHo Online Entertainment, publishers of the gory Let it Die and the collectible card game Teppen, which mixes characters from Capcom series such as Monster Hunter, Devil May Cry, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and other franchises. Ninjala is the studio's latest game, a cute and colorful online action brawler featuring ninjas and gum. Some of you may find links to Nintendo's Splatoon in the graphical style, but it could also be compared to other free-to-play online action games such as Microvolts and Brawl Busters. We are eager to play it, but when is the Ninjala release date?
Ninjala Release Date
Ninjala is going to release worldwide on June 24, 2020. The pre-download is available since June 21, so you can begin downloading the game before the release day. Ninjala will open its servers on June 24 at exactly 19:00 (PDT). The original release date was set for May 27, but the Covid-19 pandemic made the devs to delay the launch for nearly a month.
The Ninjala download size is 2.0 GB, and the game supports the following languages: Japanese, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Korean, Chinese, and English. It can be played in handheld, tabletop, and TV modes by up to eight players per match.
Ninjala is going to release as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, which means that players on PC, PS4, and Xbox One won't be able to participate in these colorful matches. GungHo Online may eventually decide to port the game to other platforms, but for now there isn't any plan to do so. Crafted using Unreal Engine 4, porting the game shouldn't be a problem for such an experienced team.
To support further development and new updates, Ninjala offers tons of costumes and accessories for purchase. Besides, there's the traditional battle pass system that fans of Fortnite and other games already know all too well.
Just to recap, the Ninjala release date is June 24, 2020, exclusively on Nintendo Switch. You can play Ninjala online even without a Nintendo Switch Online membership, as the official site reads.
