How to Unlock Noah's Heart Deserter Encounter

Clue 2 (Analyzing): A body of Darkmist soldier lies quietly in an unremarkable corner of the ruins.

Clue 3 (In Progress): Poor Rayoc finally ended his tragic and painful life. I should probably fulfill his last wish.

To unlock the Deserter Encounter you must be level 50 and teleport or run to the War of Slumber Site region to search for a body. The actual hint from the game is “When you reach Lv. 50, you can go near the War of Slumber Site to get some Encounter clues.

From the teleport, move to the mountains on the west side and you'll see a dead body close to the rocks and a Matrixium. Coordinates are [-2532, 710]. The tricky part is that there's no interaction button to use, something that may fool most players. However, you must use your mouse (if playing on PC) or finger to touch the corpse and the Desert Encounter triggers. Not very intuitive, right?

Now that you have unlocked the Deserter Encounter, it's time to solve it. After clicking on the body you got a Soldier's Farewell Letter. Open your inventory and go to the Other tab, use the letter to read his tragic story.

Exit the inventory and you should see the Bury Corpse button, press it to get Leok's Ashes. Now you can go into the Others quest tab and press [Encounter] Search for relics under the dragon skull in the War of Slumber ruins. You won't move there automatically, but a yellow marker will show up and you just have to follow it. When you reach the goal, open the chest (Belongings Hiding Place).

Now move to the next location by clicking the Others mission [Encounter] Go to the Temple of Earth and bury Leok's ashes nearby. After doing that, a girl called Elena shows up nearby, go talk to her. During the dialogue you have a choice that doesn't seem to affect the ending:

He is a deserter from the Darkmist Legion
Leok is a true warrior

Unlocking Noah's Heart Encounters is something that can be done by analyzing the clues and trying to discover which area or NPC they may be referring to. Here are some tips for those who want to unlock these adventure quests.

First and foremost, you should explore the world and unlock as many teleport spots a.k.a. portals as you can. Talk to every NPC that you find and explore every town, small or big, that you discover.

Leveling up is crucial as well, because level requirements are extremely common when it comes to unlocking Noah's Heart Encounters. Never stop leveling up your character and Phantoms.

Finally, it's all about the story. Keep following the main campaign as much as possible, because some quest chains serve as conditions for Encounters. More often than not you'll stumble upon level barriers, requiring you to level up before the next part of the main story can be unlocked.

Tap the Adventure option (the hot-air balloon icon) in the top area of the gameplay screen, then choose the Exploration green card. Now pick the Encounter polaroid photograph and you're in the right spot.

Locked
