Fans of the classic FreeStyle series have something to look for. Joycity has announced today the launch of the new basketball game 3on3 Freestyle on Steam. This game is free-to-play and the first release from Joycity Annex, the new North American publishing office of South Korean studio Joycity (just opened fall of 2017 in Southern California).
The first thing that you'll notice when you take a peek at 3on3 Freestyle is the quality art style. The players are cartoonish and feature some clearly distinct personalities, featuring different skill sets apparently “inspired by the real life diversity of street basketball courts.” 3on3 Freestyle is powered by the Unreal Engine 4 and for once, it clearly looks like a current-gen game, which makes for a nice change.
3on3 Freestyle includes online and co-op multiplayer modes (1v1 and 3v3) and follows on the footsteps of Joycity's previous games, FreeStyle 1 and FreeStyle 2. There's a progression system and controller support.
3on3 Freestyle launched in December 2016 for PlayStation 4 as a free-to-play game and boasts over 500,000 registered players. The PC release is going to offer servers in several regions, so everyone should fell comfortable: NA East, NA West, South America (Beta), Europe, South East Asia, and East Asia.
You can find 3on3 Freestyle on Steam right now, and the official site is here. Take a look at some gameplay trailers and character spotlights.
