Guardians of Ember has just entered open beta today, as Gameforge had promised last week. This hack and slash game is developed by Runewaker and enjoyed a short stint as a buy-to-play game with previous publisher Insel Games, despite originally releasing as a free-to-play game in Taiwan.
This relaunch is said to include many quality of life improvements. From gameplay to character customization, from user interface to missions, along with additional languages – Guardians of Ember now supports English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Turkish, and Polish.
There are rewards for newcomers and veterans alike. If you registered during the beta phases you get an exclusive in-game title, and the cash shop has some free items waiting for you. If you purchased Guardians of Ember during its time with Insel Games, you qualify for the Veterans' Reward program, which will get you a few valuable items.
You can play this Diablo-like game here and the open beta announcement trailer is right below. We have tried Guardians of Ember during its recent closed beta test and found the game to be solid fun and challenging, if a bit generic and grindy.
