Snail Games just announced the closed beta date (or dates, for that matter) of the free-to-play martial arts MMORPG Age of Wushu. Players can expect two closed beta sessions, one in November and the other one in December. The global release date was also announced: May 3, 2013.
Getting into the closed beta won’t be free, however. In a seemingly new trend in F2P, players will gain access by purchasing some goods. For the November closed beta, which will end by the 25th, you have to spend $9.99 USD in the Elite pre-sale package. To enter the next beta, scheduled for December 20th, players must purchase one of three Age of Wushu gift sets, each packed with in-game and real world items. These sets also give a nice advantage to players – an exclusive access period starting February 1st, meaning you’ll get 90 days of play before the launch.
