It's been quite a week for EA and Respawn's Battle Royale Apex Legends. Announced and released in the same day, this Titanfall-inspired shooter has unanimously captured a large player base and… could the reign of Epic Games' Fortnite Battle Royale be in danger?
Possibly. Considering that it took a single week for Apex Legends to hit 2 million concurrent players and a total of 25 million players, this is a game that could grow even bigger.
What else is coming? Apart from some talks of Duos and Solo modes, as well as new maps, Respawn has a few things planned for Apex Legends. First up is the Twitch Rivals Apex Legends Challenge, taking place today, February 12, and next Tuesday 19, with 48 of the biggest streamers on Twitch competing live. Next, there's some Valentine’s Day themed loot coming later this week, and finally Season One will start in March and comes with a Battle Pass, as well as new Legends and more content.
