Atlas Reactor shifts from free-to-play to buy-to-play

Exciting times at Trion Worlds, as the April Producer's letter begins. What does that exactly means? Well, pretty much that Atlas Reactor is going to shift from free-to-play to buy-to-play, in a move that mimics Albion Online and Overwatch and should now be called buy-to-PAY, as you're paying upfront for games that still try to sell you plenty of “cosmetic” micro-transactions.

Anyway, Trion Worlds says that the feedback from the closed beta was very important and the “reactions have been extremely positive towards Atlas Reactor’s cosmetic and boost-based microtransaction system. We don’t monetize power, and everything that impacts gameplay (such as Freelancers and their Modifications) can be earned via gameplay.”

Purchasing Atlas Reactor will give you access to all the current and future Freelancers and everyone who already bought one of the current Founder's Pack or spent over $10 of in-game credits, already own the game.

You can read more about the new Atlas Reactor pricing in the official Producer's letter.
