gamigo has stepped forward and announced that Trion Worlds' tactical game Atlas Reactor is going to shut down this summer. The current plan is to turn off the servers on June 28, 2019, if nothing changes until then.
This decision isn't entirely surprising; when gamigo acquired Trion Worlds, the announcement failed to mention Atlas Reactor, possibly on purpose. As it turns out and is highlighted in the shutdown notice, Atlas Reactor had a loyal community but didn't grow enough to support continued development.
Starting today, purchases are turned off for Atlas Reactor and there is a small parting gift for players who logged in at least once during the last 16 months or so. Check your email for more info on this if you qualify.
