Battlecry’s future isn’t bright, Bethesda “evaluating” game

It looks like the free-to-play competitive game Battlecry isn't having an easy development. While there's no word on any sort of cancellation, it's now officially known that Bethesda isn't happy with how the game is shaping up. In a statement given to Progress Bar, the publisher of Fallout and The Elder Scrolls series said the following:

“We have concerns about the Battlecry game and whether it is meeting the objectives we have for it. We are evaluating what improvements the game needs to meet our quality standards. The studio remains busy during this process on multiple projects.”

This clearly hints at a troubled development and some players that actually tried the game mentioned the lackluster combat as one of its biggest downfalls.

Announced in May 2014, Battlecry had the distinct art style going for it thanks to Viktor Antonov of Half-Life 2 and Dishonored fame, as well as the battles between three factions. We'll keep an eye out for any further developments on Battlecry.
