If there's a game that deserves all the luck it can get, that game is Battlerite. The stripped-down arena brawler from Stunlock Studios and a spiritual successor to Bloodline Champions, it has managed to secure its very positive rating on Steam for several months of Early Access and went on to sell over 500,000 copies. The small studio of 25 staff is obviously proud with this feat, and they know Battlerite has to keep improving to maintain a valuable playerbase.
“We’re overwhelmed by the support from our community and all the positive response from both critics and players. We’ve had a great start and we will keep working on growing engagement by continuously investing in new content for our audiences and polishing all aspects of the game. There are big things on the horizon for Battlerite and the team is super excited about what’s to come in 2017.” says Peter Ilves, Game Director at Stunlock Studios.
If you purchase Battlerite on Steam now for $19,99/€19,99, you'll get access to all future champions. Battlerite is going to launch as a free-to-play game but only in late 2017, so if you want to play without purchasing early access, you have a long wait ahead.
