While the news about bringing Black Desert to North America and Europe in 2015 isn't new, there have been some rumors that the final release could slide to 2016. However, Daum Games has just confirmed during a conference that Black Desert Online will indeed reach the Western market in 2015.
Daum Games, a Korean publisher, is setting up offices in the West to bring Black Desert to North American and European players while maintaining the vision that the developer Pearl Abyss has for the game. The Black Desert Korean and Russian versions will be free-to-play, so it's highly likely that the NA and EU versions will also be F2P.
The Black Desert Korean open beta begins December 17, 2014.
