It looks like Bandai Namco is ready to begin work on the Blue Protocol English localization. A new job offer suggests that the Japanese studio definitely has plans for a Blue Protocol global release, following an initial statement back in July 2019. Back then, there was no intention “at the moment” for a western release.
Things clearly have changed in the meantime, as the Blue Protocol English localization job offer discovered by Redditor Furia_BD reveals. The studio is looking for a “localization director for the PC online action game Blue Protocol,” who needs to possess work experience, “language skills (English),” and overseas experience.

The selected person will be responsible for working on the UI, text, supervise cutscene voice overs, and pay close attention to cultural aspects related to each region.
In case you don't know what Blue Protocol is, you're missing out on one of the most exciting reveals of 2019. This online action MMORPG (or co-op RPG, it's not entirely clear yet) is developed by Bandai Namco with the purpose of “impressing the world.” The first closed alpha test was exclusive to Japan and included a limited number of players and press members that was no more than 10,000 in total.
While there was an NDA in place for videos and other content, text previews were allowed and gave us some nice insight on what was in store. Bandai Namco has just lifted the NDA for good, but those who want to share their impressions need to clearly state that the info comes from the closed alpha test.
In case you want to learn more about the Blue Protocol release date, classes, and more, we have got you covered. The official website is live as well, but it remains as Japanese-only as it was since the day it launched, so don't expect any additional info on the western release for now.
