Crimson Desert is Black Desert’s studio new game, just trademarked

Black Desert Online is doing wonderfully for Pearl Abyss, but you can't put all your eggs in one basket. That is why the Korean studio is working on more games, including one currently codenamed Project K.

Project K isn't an MMORPG, and the first impressions point to it being a shooter with a focus on teamwork and featuring MOBA elements. As if this wasn't enough to get a picture of it, let's just add that Minh Le a.k.a. Gooseman, the Counter-Strike creator, is the Creative Director for this game, so it should leave no doubts about its shooter “flavor”. Now, the official name of Project K may have been revealed, as a new trademark from Pearl Abyss appears (thanks MMOCulture). The trademark reveals that this is an online game and could also hit mobile devices.

Either Crimson Desert is in fact Project K, or some other Pearl Abyss game currently in development, such as the casual mobile MMORPG Project V.
