Just as it was announced a while ago, today is the day when Dauntless opens its gates to all players – or slayers – worldwide. This anticipated monster hunting co-op action RPG is now available to everyone, and will remain free-to-play for as long as it is live. Dauntless is currently a PC exclusive.
Developer Phoenix Labs is committed to build a world for Dauntless that is going to keep growing and expanding for years to come, something that was already clear when they first released the Dauntless roadmap.
Over one million players already ventured in the Shattered Isles during the closed beta phase, and now more players will be able to meet up and join in their quest for Behemots. Starting in the city of Ramsgate, slayers will be able to craft, enhance and customize their arsenal in order to better suit the desired Behemoth. The Evergame (or Endgame) experience in Dauntless will offer several challenges and activities when the main campaign is completed. Things such as Dire Behemoths to heroic difficulties, there is a lot to keep players busy until the next content update.
“Open Beta is an exciting next step for us, but it is just the beginning for what we have planned for Dauntless,” said Jesse Houston, CEO and co-founder of Phoenix Labs. “For the past four years we’ve been dedicated to creating the next, great online game for players to share together, and Open Beta is the next huge step in fulfilling our promise. We will be continually adding content and updates to Dauntless and incorporating feedback from our passionate community. We are committed to providing more and more reasons for players to come back to Dauntless for years to come.”
