On the road to open beta, Dauntless has recently received an update that greatly improves the user interface. This brings several quality of life enhancements based on player feedback, and the highlight clearly is the new radial menu system that works with both keyboard and mouse combo, as well as for gamepad users. The health bar was revamped so that it doesn't stand out too much or blends with the background.
It's also interesting to note that Phoenix Labs took inspiration from Halo 2 for its social matchmaking system, saying that it is “widely recognized by scholars as humanity’s greatest achievement.” You can read all of the UI improvements here.
