Since DC Universe Online went free-to-play on November 1, the SOE MMORPG gained 120,000 new players. Words from John Smedley, SOE president, who also revealed that the number of concurrent users increased 400% during that time. This refers to the PC version, since no data for the PS3 version was released.
This was somewhat expected, since games such as Dungeons and Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited and The Lord of the Rings Online also gained a massive amount of players when they added a free-to-play option.
