With my mind still fresh from the several games that were closed during 2017, I'm ready for another round of shutdowns in 2018. Trion Worlds has just announced what is possibly the first in a long line of free-to-play games to see its servers closed.
Devilian is that game, with Trion Worlds planning on taking down the North American servers on March 5, 2018, after reaching an agreement with developer Bluehole Ginno. While the servers are still on, you can enjoy some extras with a 24/7 event that will get you “bonus experience, gold, gems, Enigma keys and flower drops.” Because when a game is shutting down is always the best time to reach endgame content. Ironically.
If you still have credits in Devilian, you can choose another Trion Worlds game to transfer your credits, with the added bonus of a welcome package. You can choose one of the following games: ArcheAge, Rift, Trove, Atlas Reactor or Defiance.
Devilian wasn't a bad game by all means, but it had an extremely low player base, the lowest of all Trion games. Sadly, business decisions have to be made, and Devilian is now a couple of months away from sunset.
