After two years in closed beta – and you probably have a few invites sitting in your Steam inventory, but you can throw those away – Dota 2 is finally getting an official launch. But this is a different kind of launch, where you have to wait in line.
To get in Dota 2 you have to go to Steam and click on Get Dota 2, then you have to wait for an e-mail saying that you got access. The idea is to get players smoothly in waves into what is already a game with a massive playerbase – over 3 million users per month. Valve will begin sending e-mails this week.
