You can start speculating now; ZeniMax quietly removed the six-month subscription option from The Elder Scrolls Online. With all the talk that this is one strong candidate to going free-to-play during 2015, many players are already wondering if this is the first step in that direction. However, the game retains the 30-days and 90-days subscription options and ZeniMax replied on the French forums, stating that this decision was made because players preferred the shorter subscription models.
Despite this explanation, the forums are now divided in two factions: the ones that believe this was made in preparation for a free-to-play The Elder Scrolls Online, and those who think that this is just an innocent decision.
