Shortly after the announcement and straight from the Hi-Rez Expo 2018 comes the first Paladins: Battlegrounds gameplay. It's nearly one hour of riding and shooting in a massive map that is capable of accommodating a hundred players.
Obviously inspired by the groundbreaking success of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds and also Fortnite Battle Royale, Paladins: Battlegrounds plays with the strengths of Hi-Rez's game, including a strong cast of champions and their particular abilities. The fact that Paladins has a very healthy player base shouldn't be neglected as well.
The initial reactions to the Paladins: Battlegrounds game mode seem to be very positive, and I don't have any doubts that this will boost the game's popularity even more. The gameplay you're watching from the video below is from the pre-alpha, with a full release planned for later this year.
