Game of Thrones Winter is Coming adds History of Westeros event

Game of Thrones has finally reached its highly anticipated conclusion and the consensus was that… it kind of sucked. Not having some solid George R.R. Martin lore to draw inspiration from surely helped rush the ending of one of the greatest shows of all time… until the final couple of seasons.

It was impressive, sure, with some genuinely stunning moments, but all that consistent character build-up was thrown away in favor of silly decisions that would quickly get each one to its predictable place. If you named your daughter Khaleesi or Daenerys, you should have known better. Or maybe you shouldn't have kids in the first place.

But I digress. Game of Thrones Winter is Coming is the official game based on the HBO series and is getting a new update today. This update adds a new Kingdom event called History of Westeros. You'll need all royal lords in the same Kingdom to complete different quests together to get the rewards. You can also expect some improvements and bug fixes with the new update.

Game of Thrones Winter is Coming is a strategy MMO build on the foundations of Bigpoint's Game of Thrones: Seven Kingdoms game. It features all the popular characters from the show as recruitable commanders, including Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Arya Stark, Jaime Lannister, Tyrion Lannister, Sansa Stark and more. I can't say for sure if Bran Stark also features in the game, but I seriously doubt that he acts as a commander – either way, he has bigger plans for his inscrutable persona.
