Rampage Games has just officially announced the new Genesis MOBA, a free-to-play PlayStation 4 exclusive optimized for controller gameplay.
Powered by the Unreal Engine 4, Genesis is described as a a next-generation console MOBA tailored for controller gameplay. Genesis has a roster of 28 original heroes with many character customization options. A single-player mode isn't usual in a MOBA, but Genesis includes a PvE mode for players to enjoy.
Another curious addition is the co-op conquest mode, where two local players share control of the same unit.
“We really wanted to bring a true MOBA experience to consoles,” said Ray Zhu, Executive Producer at Rampage Games. “The biggest challenge, of course, was building the gameplay system for controllers. Keyboard and mouse have their advantages, but based on the feedback we received from our testers, I am confident we are equally prepared and players will feel right at home in GENESIS.”
Genesis is free-to-play for PlayStation 4 and releases on August 13th in North America and on August 14th in Europe. Visit the official website for more info and your first look at the hero units, skins included.
