If you thought that this Riot Games tweet about an MMO was just an innocent move, then you should know better. After all, you know how the video games industry works, right? Otherwise, why would the League of Legends developer keep talking about it?
Here is another clue to spice things up: Greg “Ghostcrawler” Street, who was the lead designer on League of Legends, has moved to the new position of head of creative development. Because the LoL developer wants to put the ‘s' in Riot Games:
“We’ve been up front that we want to put the S in Riot Games, and I am helping with that effort. In addition, we have been taking Runeterra as a world more seriously, as you’ve probably realized with the release of the Ryze CG and the world map.”
Oh, and let's not underestimate the fact that Ghostcrawler worked as a Lead Systems Designer on World of Warcraft. Could Riot Games actually be developing a League of Legends MMORPG, since they are giving more and more attention to Runeterra and such?
